MIXTAPE: Monitoring Impacts for Technology Adoption and Program Engagement in Bangladesh

A multidisciplinary study evaluating the dynamics and impact of CGIAR innovations in Bangladesh’s rice and aquaculture domains.

About MIXTAPE

MIXTAPE is a country-level study of the dynamics of agricultural innovation in Bangladesh, focusing on CGIAR-related agricultural innovations in the field of rice and aquaculture. MIXTAPE will leverage national datasets and conduct a mixed-methods data collection campaign that emphasizes mapping intervention-specific adoption, adoption outcomes and identifying interactions across interventions. In doing so, MIXTAPE investigates impacts at large scale and their trade-offs, including environmental footprint, ecosystem health, food market and prices, labor market, and women’s empowerment in agriculture.

Objectives

  1. Leverage existing national datasets and to conduct a mixed-methods data collection campaign

  2. Emphasize mapping intervention-specific adoption, adoption outcomes and identifying interactions across interventions

  3. Investigate impacts at a large scale and their trade-offs, including environmental footprint, ecosystem health, food market and prices, labor market, and women’s empowerment in agriculture.

  4. Pay specific attention to income-poverty and other dimensions of well-being beyond productivity

  5. Measure CGIAR-related innovations adoption outcomes and impacts to distinguish non-adoption from dis-adoption
