ConFooBio

The ConFooBio project, led by Dr. Nils Bunnefeld of the University of Stirling, was the ELM-Lab's first connection to Dr. Sarobidy Rakotonarivo, among our most enduring partners and lead of the Mitsilo Lab at the University of Antananarivo.

Dr. Rakotonarivo reached out as part of ConFooBio to consider how to take NonCropShare (our first game) and expand it to capture a range of different natural resource dilemmas - including lethal vs. non-lethal control of pest animal species, fallowing structure under different land-tenure conditions.

This collaboration turned a one-off experiment into what has become an ecosystem of dynamic, multi-player games that can be played anywhere.
